YOUTH COUNCIL – ROLES OF YOUTH COUNCIL

What the Youth Council Does …

1. As representatives for the community of youths with disabilities, gather ideas from members and provide inputs to guide the direction of work of the RCD Youth Group.
2. Meet, discuss and plan activities.
3. Take initiative to implement the planned activities.
4. Lead in activities when able to participate.
5. Provide partnership and support to members, participants and the Peer Support Group where necessary.
6. Provide situation updates to the Council Member Liaison throughout the process of project activities in a timely manner.
7. Attend reflection meetings to reflect and evaluate the progress of activities, and share achievements, thoughts and visions for the future.

Meetings

The Youth Council will have monthly meeting on date and time to be determined for activity planning and reflection.

 

Peer Support & Leadership

The Peer Support Group will be friend and/or mentor of general members and be ready to support them where needed on the frontline.
